Fred Thompson has had one of the more inauspicious beginnings to a presidential campaign, all downhill since the swoon he induced among many Republicans when he said in March he was testing the waters.

Yes Thompson is an obvious zero. NOTHING to offer but his phony folksy outsider image and a list of wheezing right wing talking points no different than the others. That any repuke thought this guy was their saviour reveals rampant panic on the part of the GOP over it's undistiguished lineup.
