Posted: 07/16/09 01:21 PM ET

Today the American Medical Association sent a letter to Cong. Henry Waxman announcing its support of the House health care reform bill introduced on Tuesday.

The letter signed by Dr. Michael Maves, the AMA CEO, praises the bill and offers the AMA's support for a "favorable report" from the Ways and Means Committee and the Labor , Energy and Commerce Committee.

AMA's support of the bill has been long sought by healthcare advocates. Here is a link to the letter via Nuestravoice.com

Of course. They got screwed with Medicare because they weren't at the table and it passed anyway. Now they want to be at the table so that they can get "theirs." Actually it is a smart move. Once in place no one will ever end this system--never. so they need to participate [as they should.]
