Anthony Moseley, executive artistic director of the wonderful Collaboraction theater company in Chicago, appeared on The Interview Show, which I host at The Hideout the first Friday of every month, to discuss the Sketchbook Festival (now going on), the history of Collaboraction, his golf game and more. Check out the interview below.
Next Interview Show is this Friday (May 1), from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Guests will include decorator Nate Berkus, novelist Joe Meno and and the authors of Now Hiring: White House Dog.

Very good interview, funny, Anthony has worked hard and done well -in a tough business -it will be interesting to see where he takes Collaboraction from here, now that he has really honed his aesthetics in terms of who he is as as an artistic director.
Having said this, my friend, Mr Mosely could be more accurate in describing and giving credits to the origins of Sketchbook: it was me, not Anthony nor John Cabrera who initiated a fine arts program into Sketchbook: they both, had no idea what they were going to do in terms of staging the event -and after they appoached me about doing the first poster -I then suggested moving my drawing studio onto the Chopin's stage - which, along with massive fluoresent billboards and a cutting edge propaganda program, is what the environment was for the first three years. Also, I initiated the Sketchbook Art Auction that has now morphed into another creature (14 photographers this year) -but, when it first started had world class artists and curators such as the MCA's Lynne Warren helping to jury the exhibitions -all in all a more radical but probably far less commercial program than what is in place now and probably honestly required-
Cordially,
Wesley Kimler
