As A Child, Boston Lost Both His Parents

Boston has been on the street for 15 years. He has mental health issues, and consistently fights depression and addiction. As a child, he lost both of his parents -- his mother to murder. For the rest of his young life he grew up in his grandparents home where alcohol and dysfunction were rampant.

He eventually turned to the streets, where he met a lot of good people with a lot of bad habits. With no alarm clock and no ability to shower, a job became hard to come by.

When I met Boston it became clear he was most grateful for clean socks and thanks to Hanes, I was able to give him new socks.

Boston sees a light at the end of the tunnel, and a future for himself and his family. Boston's hope is encouraging and he only wants to help those around him. He's fine with living on the streets if that's where he needs to be to help and bless others.

We tend to lose sight of the fact that mental health problems can happen to any of us at any time. Often, the homeless and those with mental health problems are looked down upon in our society because we don't see their plight as something we could ever relate to.

I hope Boston keeps moving towards health and success.
