Rudy, Pick Your Poison

Did Rudy decide that giving speeches to cash in on his 9/11 fame was more important than figuring out what to do about Iraq? Or did he decide to duck a tough issue? My money's on cowardice.

Rudy Giuliani was a member of the Iraq Study Group. But he didn't show up for meetings, and when James Baker told him to start doing his work or quit, he quit, pleading conflicting time commitments.

So which is it: Did Rudy decide that giving speeches to cash in on his 9/11 fame was more important than figuring out what to do about Iraq? Or did he decide to duck a tough issue?

My money's on cowardice rather than greed, but reasonable minds can differ.
