Anyone else wondering, as I am, whether some of those scary fanatical conservatives, who had such a serious problem with America electing a black president, will see an opportunity for a consolation prize, of sorts, by taking down Michael Steele as RNC chairman?
I suspect those folks' hatred for Obama was a whole lot less about his political philosophy than it was about the color of his skin, and there's a decent chance the GOP will soon be forced to deal with some of the hatred we witnessed last fall being expressed inward this time around towards their self-proclaimed hip hop chairman?
I hope I am wrong and I definitely am not wishing for it. The country does not need it. But something tells me we might start seeing some of those same people firing a few hate-filled salvos at Steele and the Republican Party in the coming weeks.

The RNC chose a chairman who had no background in organizational skills. It chose a chairman who had no background in managing funding drives. it chose a chairman who had never had a successful campaign run without chicanery -- and failed even in that, as his use of disingenuous materials and false advertising -- and the blatent use of outside intimidation -- was quickly reported. That he was voted a visible post, given this background, is an indication of the lack of respect the RNC holds for its own organization and the people it represents. His skin color was of interest only to the RNC and the MSM; the wonderful Ada Fisher proved that on Maddow's show. She, quite rightly, judged him on his performance. So do we.
Steele is being judged as a politician, an executive officer, a manager, a leader, a figurehead, a productive member of his party, an effective speaker, and a man. He is failing, in every respect. None of that has anything to do with his ancestry.
The RNC was aware of Steele's shortcomings. They put him in place to demonstrate, to their own base, the reason 'blacks' aren't of any use. All they demonstrated was their own pathetic need to be able to point to someone as inferior to themselves. They voted in an inadequate leader; that speaks to them, not to Steele. Who had never proven himself adequate in the first place.
This Micheal Steele drama is not new. The RNC have no new ideas. Remember back to the The McCain campaign and his work up to his VP candidate, yes, Sarah Palin. The reason he picked Sarah Palin, not for her political savvy, or her expertise on foreign relations, but because, President Obama didn't pick Hilary. McCain and his entourage thought that because Hilary was so popular that all they needed was another woman, enter Sarah Palin. The RNC has effectively did the same thing. If Obama was not President of the US, Steele would not be president of the RNC. Someone alert the Republican party that the American people are much smarter then they think.
