Whack-Job Palin Back On National Scene -- Launches Contradictory New Federal PAC

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

It didn't take long for Whack-job -- aka Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) -- to make a return to the federal scene. Today, she rolled-out the creation of a federal PAC called SarahPAC.

According to the front page of the website:

SarahPAC believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all.

But when you visit the FAQ section, you get this:

Who is behind SarahPac?

Gov. Sarah Palin believes all Americans must work together for the future, regardless of their party affiliation. Gov. Palin is the official chair of SarahPac, and its supporters are Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and those unaffiliated with any political party.

Um, so which is it?

Is SarahPAC trying to help the Republican Party during this declared "historic renaissance" or is it trying to foster the idea that "all Americans must work together for the future, regardless of their party affiliation"?

How odd that Palin would come out of the box with such a contradictory message. Shocking...

And also, Run Sarah Run. As long as she's the face of the reublican'ts, Democrats will hold on to power. And also, you betcha.

If it's contradictory, you know it isn't her fault.

If incoherence and hate-mongering is the Republican Renaissance she's there.
IMHO, she's had her fifteen minutes (and then some). She is destined to become a trivia question.

I would love to listen to a one on one conversation between Palin and W. Non sequitors, malaprops, sentence fragments, made up words; it would be a hoot.

Q: Who is behind SaraPac?

A: SaraPac.com is hosted by Smartec. Smartec is the same company that hosted Bush....and its name is a complete misnomer since Bush was not too smart. But Sarah is really smart by golly, smart enough to pretend now that she is interested in bringin' Americans together to "progress" our country! Which speaking of smart, honey, wouldn't it have been a REALLY SMART THING to have used that hook during the fall campaign, instead of the mudslinging and fear tactics which were your "thing" then? Or did the door slamming in your face in November make you rethink your hateful message?

You're not fooling anyone. Just skip all this silliness and make a website called "Why I Desperately Need To See My Face In The News Weekly Or I Will Just Die."

From the Privacy Policy section:

“When you visit our site, we collect the following information: The name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America Online account). The date and time you access our site. The Internet address of the web site from which you linked directly to our site or the Internet address of the computer used to link to our site. This information is used for Site Management purposes only.”

As suggested over at AKM's Mudflats...I guess everyone can head over there and click on the link there to foul up the demographics...seems ot me that AKM/Mudflatters aren't supporters...

Still, a questionable policy about collection/usage of info, which you apparently cannot stop from being harvested...

It is called a cookie, almost every website collects this info. Nothing new except for the fact they are telling you they are doing it.

Just for the record, the information they are listing does not require a cookie. It's simply the information every page request generates.
The site also deposits a cookie, which they're not mentioning.
You are right that there's nothing unusual about it.

Does Sarah Palin have enough sense to develop a plan like this? No. She had a lot of help. She is determined to be in the "limelight " one way or the other. It does not matter what she just "gotta do it".
Let's see we have Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin-is that not a scary picture?

I hope the Republicans pull better rabbits out of the hat than these two. Give us Democrats a real fight in 2012 if we are still here. What in the world has happened to politics? It has been interesting and just a barrel of laughs to some but, to the Americans that struggle everyday-it is truly not funny at all. We constantly put these jackasses in office and the media just hits us in the gut with their ignorance and lack of common sense. What happens? Does the brain just go out the window after the election is over?

Give us all a break take the money and give "Joe the Plummer" his maintenance fee and a party. Leave us alone and go play somewhere else-please like Russia since you can see it.

Q: Who is behind SaraPac?
A: SaraPac.com is hosted by Smartec. Smartec is the same company that hosted Bush, McCain and many other Republican domains, and was used by the Bush administration to host their shadow email system, and was implicated in electronic vote tabulation irregularities in Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004.

Mike Connell, Karl Rove's IT Guru, who helped run many of these efforts, was scheduled to testify in the Ohio electronic voting matter, died in a mysterious plane crash in late December 08. Indications are that he had been warned not to testify and had made comments that he feared for his safety. Although he was an experienced pilot and had flown his own plane for years without incident, investigators into the crash indicated he ran out of gas. ???

So Sarah is running with a good crowd, eh?

Palin has eaten too many mooseburgers. She needs to stay in Alaska and do the peoples' business there. She should stop loitering and making annoying noises. Do some work for a change. When President Obama called for responsibility, he intended the message for you too!

She is "studying up" for the new position she plans to run for. The notion that it helps to have actual, hands on, learning, experience in order to grow into the job.... well that is a foreign idea to her. Y'know, it's all style and no substance, which after 8 years, hopefully the American people are wise to.
