Dick Cheney wants a few reports released.
The former Vice President, a man so secretive that while serving as Vice President he had his home removed from Google Earth, who repeatedly blocked the release of any documents from the National Archive while he was in office under the dubious claim that he existed in some netherworld outside of all branches of government, has asked the National Archive to release two secret CIA reports; the request from the former Vice President has been reported by a Washington insider blog called Who Runs Gov.
In one of his frequent appearances on Fox News, Cheney said he would be asking for the release because these reports prove that the 'harsh interrogation methods' approved under his administration resulted in the gathering of useful intelligence information. As Cheney put it, "There are reports that show specifically what we gained as a result of this activity."
The reports requests are from a file labeled 'Detainees' that Vice President Dick Cheney kept in his office.
Since no other information is currently forthcoming, this new information leads to a variety of questions regarding the contents of the file. How thick is it? How detailed is it? Does the file include an account of every one of the 183 waterboarding sessions conducted in one month on Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?
This request for two reports raises one more question: If torture worked so successfully, why not release the entire file instead of just two reports? There must be lots more to see in Dick Cheney's file labeled 'Detainees.'

Not fair.... I was hoping for a joke.
LMAO........I love it
I love it too!
Let's see the minutes from his secret energy meeting while we're at it.
yup yup, when all the secret information is released, let's see who is scares them more the Black Man in the White House or the White Man who was in the White House that lies every time he speaks.
Energy meeting: Wait till we are re-elected and then you can raise the price of gas as high as you want. Average price of gas 2001-2004 - $1.57 - Shortly after November 2004, $2.69 going up to $4.00 a gallon.
I wonder how many detainees fit in his man-sized safe??
Funny, I can just picture this guy wearing stripes!!!
Orange jumpsuite?
Or the orange suit. The ultimate would be that prison in Arizona where they make the prisoners wear pink. LOL
I remember "The Daily Show" running their segment about Cheney called "You Don't Know Dick," where Jon Stewart reported that Cheney kept a "man-sized" safe in his office and had his own rubber stamp that read "treat as Top Secret" for documents that didn't officially qualify for that level of security clearance but reports that he wanted kept under wraps anyway. That's how secretive he was. And did we ever find those two years worth of White House e-mails? CIA torture tapes? Seven Billion Dollars missing in Iraq? "WMD's" ?? Now Darth Cheney wants reports released so that they can be declassified so that he can go into full FOX spin mode to try in vain to save his own butt? Oh the irony..
the cabinet of Dr Caligari
THIS IS THE FACE OF PURE E V I L!!!!
Hey! I was gonna say that! now I have to come up with something else!
Please please please please prosecute !!!!
Im praying for that P word to materialize too! LOL! Can't stand to look at this guy!
Cheney kept a file marked "Detainees?"
AMAZING!
So did I...and one marked TERRORIST INFORMATION..and so on and so forth...One of my duties as unit commander was keeping up on enemy activity and keepin tthe troops informed and trained in anti-terrorist measures.
It would have been strange if Cheney had NOT kept a file marked "detainees!"
You talking apples and oranges and if you don't know the difference, just know some others get the big bucks.
How is that a duty of the Vice President of the United States?
God, I hope you're retired.
You might want to check the job description of the VP.
You know: in the Constitution?
"BabblingBrooks" on a roll with babbling.
I say Chaney is suspect of committing treason therefor he should be arrested and held with the other detainees until we can ascertain the truth.
Voting on this measure now begins.
There is no question. Got my vote
My also!! New idea for Gitmo?
It isn't "truth" this administration is interested in, its "looking forward."
Cheney is better than Obama.
Yes, he's better at torturing....then again, he's better than anybody at that, since nobody else would've ever authorized and enjoyed such uncivilized atrocities....other than his predecessor H.itler of course.
at what? I must agree. There are lots of things Cheney is better at and none of them are very good or honorable and he has been caught, big time!
Geez, I had no idea. In a related story, diarrhea is better than kittens.
uptonogood again i see
cheney's little book of detainees
yeah that and his ability to derange any company he ever worked at plus the fact that him and GW did less in eight years than Obama has done in ten days
but yeah in your inverted world cheney is better than obama and nickels are worth more than dollars
nice
Hey, lying, deceiving, committing crimes against the nation and being a coward are NOT admirable attributes.
"Detainees"? All of them? That would be nice. Maybe then, we could find that hundred or so, who have gone missing!
Missing? You're being too PC, you mean ki.lled?
drowned
Why does any reputable journalist invite Cheney to comment on anything? Oh, that's right, its the Fox News folks questioning him. So he and they can all be lumped together as promoting their own interests instead of the nation's. Why does this show even have a license to operate since their agenda seems to be to foment discord in the nation?
Why is the media repeating this smoke screen? He simply wants to change the chatter from "we don't torture" to "pro-torture is good".
Exactly. And there is no way of knowing if such reports actually exist and support what he says. He can say there are reports, and if the current administration does not release anything that supports what he says, he can claim they are holding back. It is a no lose situation for him. He alters the conversation and sows doubt.
As Cheney put it, "There are reports that show specifically what we gained as a result of this activity."
It DOES NOT matter. It's still torture. It's still illegal. I wish the ends justified the means, but they just do not.
