HuffPo Forced Me To Write This Blog About "Diamonds & Pearls" Student

Today I really wanted to write a blog entry relating to my concerns about the Gross National Product of Namibia. Unfortunately HuffPo has forced me to write this blog entry about the "Diamonds & Pearls" student.

Student Says CNN Made Her Ask Hillary The "Diamonds vs Pearls" Question -- Headline on HuffPo Front Page (Nov 16, 2007 -- 5pm ET)

Today I really wanted to write a blog entry relating to my concerns about the Gross National Product of Namibia.

Unfortunately HuffPo has forced me to write this blog entry about the "Diamonds & Pearls" student.

When I say that "HuffPo forced me" -- no one from HuffPo actually held a gun to my head. I actually had the free choice -- and I chose to write and post it.

And when I say "write this blog" -- no one from HuffPo actually wrote it for me. I have written all the words in this blog entry myself.

But rather than accept responsibility for my actions, I am thrilled to discover that in our "it wasn't my fault" victim society - I can cop out of all my responsibilities and blame my actions on someone else.

So I think we really should defend the UNLV student who wrote a stunningly inane question on a list of questions she submitted to the CNN producers and who was then "forced by CNN" to ask it aloud. Clearly she had zero culpability.

And the notion that the headline for this story should have read:

Whining Student Shirks Responsibility For Her Dumb Question -- Blames CNN

is utterly ludicrous and unfair.

Now back to my post on Namibia...
