Blood And Treasure

What a sickening expression. Bandied about so lightly in relation to this sickening war. Especially by those who have expended neither. And who ensure that their own families are safe from any danger.

The "blood" is the lives of young men and women conned into fighting for a dishonest cause.

What then is the "treasure"?

Supposedly the monetary cost of war.

Yet however high the financial costs of this illegal, immoral war -- the real treasure that is being lost is the human treasure of so many lives.

Nearly 4,000 dead. Nearly 30,000 wounded or maimed.

That's just the American losses. The Iraqi losses are countless.

Human Treasure. That is the real treasure that is being so callously squandered...

there is big treasure being made by the war, as a former Republican President and General said, Do not let the Military Industrial Complex in charge of the government. The war makes millions for the likes of Halburton, GE, Westinghouse, BP, Exon, and the like. Wrap it in the flag, send our boys to die and make millions for the industrialists and oil companies. Wake up, we wouldn't be in Iraq if it weren't for the terriorists and even if we need to manufacture credible terriorists so we can be there.

16,000 killed each year in automobile accidents ,are you still for manufacturing lighter cars?
So what is your point, the government is wasting money that could be given to bureaucrats instead of fighting a bumper sticker.
