President Palin

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

Vice President Palin. President Palin.

Like it or not, John McCain, this is your case:

In a dangerous world, who will keep you safe? At a perilous time, who has the experience to face down the Russians, track down the terrorists, back down the Iranians, and bring peace to the Middle East? Who do you deserve to have a heartbeat away from the red phone?

Obama, you said the race is about presidential temperament.

Well, eat this, Barack. You want to see my presidential temperament in action? Sarah f*in' Palin, man. That's the ticket!

Yep, that's the republican song. In this scarry world with terrorists plotting against us and crucial challenges facing us around the world we need somebody with John McCain's experience.

And if something happens to John McCain....we're screwed.

If Bush was bush league, then Palin pales in comparison...

you are getting old. Obma is a social worker. He is an expert at running for office on the dime and time of the people he represents.

I think I am having a senior moment, I heard Fred Thompson say this a.m. (others have said it too) that "Palin has MORE experience than Obama". So my senior moment is I cannot connect those dots. Chicago organizer (more people there than all of Alaska, meetings larger than her Was.... City Council meetings) to Illinois State Senator to Congress as a Senator (not member of the House). Also I guess Harvard just lets anybody with an IQ over 50 be President of the Law Review. Contrast that to Palin's background, so I am having trouble I must be getting old.

This of course is not to say that "experience" is the sole criteria for selecting a President or Vice-President but we are not looking for a Dan Quayle repeat.

I heard Gov. Palin talking to Maria Barteleromo and my jaw dropped. She's as right wing as anyone I've ever heard. She believes completely that oil drilling in Alaska is a good thing, no a great thing. Each Alaskan citizen gets a chunk of money from the oil companies, they've been living on it for years. With all the ruptures in the pipeline that money has been dwindling. She said there would be thousands and thousands of jobs in Alaska and everywhere. It's as if the truth didn't matter at all, she was just going to pander to everyone by saying if we drill in Alaska all our problems will be solved.
That makes her naive at best, greedy at worst. That's her entire agenda, bringing home the bacon to Alaska and of course herself because she is Big Oil's girl, signed sealed and delivered. They found a pretty package to put it in. No more Cheney-Bush throwing billions their way, the voters caught on and so they found a feisty beauty queen, lots of kids. She's a wonderful package but what's in her head is scary.
No way did McCain make this decision, the military man got his marching orders. The only positive thing you could say about a McCain-Palin administration is that it would upgrade Bush-Cheney to second worst in history.

My number one question: Can anyone see Sarah Palin facing down Putin??

McCain placed her on the ticket to get votes, at the risk of the country.

This pick immediately puts John McCain's health and age in the forefront of this election. Being 72 and having melenoma has to be highlighted now that the next person in line could have NO experience internationally or even on the national stage.

Reckless, reckless, reckless.
These were my thoughts when I heard about the core attributes of this woman. I sat there thinking that I know women here in North Georgia who fit Pallin's profile but would a prospective leader of the free world turn over the country forany of them to lead?
Where is the statesmanlike decision in this?
Where is the skill set to lead the most powerful country in the world? To inspire leaders say, to join us against Iran?
Is being a Mom to five kids one of them?
Or that one smashed corruption in a state of 1 million?
Does America believe she could be the leader of the free world should, God forbid, something happens to McCain?
What are the wise old heads in Republican leadership thinking?
Any true patriots out there willing to say that McCain has been reckless?
Where is the sophisticated Republican thought on this?
We need to hear you!!! The country's future demands this!

Make it rain guys, make it rain... Alaskans usually don't feel too cozy outside of Alaska... Actually they might just freak out and blow a gasket in the face of so much scrutiny and backlash.

Welcome to the National AND International stage, Sarah. Not quite like the stage for the small town beauty pageant, but it's gonna be FUN (for us, that is...). Let's see some TALENT !!

re urthsong.....It is the fact that anyone could believe that the 2000 election wasn't stolen, that makes me worry about this election. There is a blind spot in the common sense of many Americans that I just don't understand. 2004 the media kept telling us to look at Ohio, Ohio, Ohio....meanwhile Florida was handed to Bush and no one was watching to see why. Do some research...with an open mind, Urthsong.

We all know that "inexperienced" and "not ready to lead" are code-words for "Democrat." Obama would be a horrible president because he is a Democrat, and thus unable to protect us from the evildoers. Palin, on the other hand, has one critical quality that will make her an excellent president should something happen to McCain: she's a Republican. Republicans are all born with the ability to lead and catch terrorists and single-handedly topple foreign dictators.

Perfect follow up to Dick Cheney.
I LOVE the pictures of her wearing fur, holding dead animals, and sitting on skinned bears.

The Republican Party is going downhill fast.

What's next, Lucifer?
