Is this fool for real? Does he really believe that picking a woman who is totally against a woman's right to choose and is willing to leave her children, including a 4 month old Down's Syndrome child, for the campaign trail is going to attract Hillary supporters?

The chances of the Ole Man making it through four tough years is pretty precarious as it is, but to ask women to be fooled into voting for this woman, with a pretty good chance that she may very well be President, just because she IS a woman, is ludicrous !!!

She does not deserve to be the first when there are so many other wonderful choices of women who have much more to offer. I, as a mother, don't have any respect for a woman who is willing to leave five children to fulfill my own aspirations, and I am just not buying the idea that it was Ole McSame's idea to chose this woman, as he stands up there looking like a Cheshire cat.

I'm no fan of Palin, but I don't like the argument that she should stay home with her children because she is a woman. Obama has young children, too, but I haven't heard anyone accuse him of neglecting his parental duties.

Maybe the father is taking care of the kid on the fishing boat. Or maybe in a carrier sling in the oil fields. It's a possibility. It's what I did when our daughter was born (minus the fishing boat & oil field) even running her to my wife's office for a mid-day nursing. But I'm not a sensitive new-age guy, honest!

I agree with you to a point- People Remember, she does have a husband, i didn't realize the baby was only 4 months old though- that is going to be tough, but we can do it. Im a democrat and voting for Obama so i don't care, but from what i hear there were way more qualified women to chose from than her. so it is odd. If your going to take a chance on picking a woman he should have at least chosen some one with "experience" LOL- how does mccain like it now "experience" being used against him.

Exactly correct. A mother of five, one being a 4 month old baby with special needs! What an exploitation to pander to women. I suspect, this choice was only made when Hillary Clinton wasn't selected as Obama's VP to see if the hurt-feelings of some Hillary supporters could be even more pursuaded to vote against their interests. As if Gov. Palin should become the new "women's leader." Otherwise, McCain would have picked someone else for sure. I happen to be a pro-life democrat and proud of it. But fail to see the connection of how this person who hasn't spent a day campaigning throughout this election can explain how she could in fact be actually the "President" if for some reason McCain were unable to fultill his duties should he get elected. For months now, all we have heard is how youthful and inexperienced Obama is. And through it all Obama proved himself nationally to be a leader and WON the nomination. Nobody gave it to him. So, if McCain thinks we will allow him to simply give the possibility of the presidency over to someone who's not even tried to get ready for it, it ain't gonna happen.

I'm driving to the gym, fresh from a UCLA Football kickoff breakfast with HC Rick Neuheisel and 200 rabid alum and fans, ( where, before the festivities began, everybody was referencing Barrack, the Repubs saying they're doomed after that speech last night.), and between the two, I'm so fired up and ready to go I can barely stay in my seat belt. At first I wasn't sure what I was hearing--I thought it was the Prom Queen acceptance speech from "She's The One." When the announcer broke in during a pause to tell me what I was listening to, I nearly hit the 405 Fwy.signpost. Are you kidding me? I'm all for clever marketing, but c'mon! This is a hockey mom whose only notoriety as Governor of 9000 is trying unsuccessfully to get a State Trooper fired because he had the audacity to divorce her sister?
