Mary Dimino, winner of the Outstanding Female Comedian 2010 MAC Award (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Club), is a familiar face on television and in theaters. Her critically acclaimed solo show SCARED SKINNY: a one (hundred pound lighter) woman show, written & performed by Mary Dimino, won The New York International Fringe Festival Overall Excellence Award for Outstanding Solo Show. She is the co-author of the new anti-diet book, Scared Skinny No More with Dr Brad Johnson. You may have seen her luminous smile on Comedy Central, VH-1, HBO’s Chris Rock Show, NBC's Today Show, sketches on The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, interstitial stand-up for American Movie Classics Network, as Polly on New York Undercover, as the series studio warm-up act for Comedy Central's The Graham Norton Effect and in dozens of national commercials. Mary’s personal journey towards health has been featured in the PBS documentary Fat: What No One is Telling You, for which Mary won a Gracie Allen Award. The Gracie is presented by American Women in Radio and Television and honors exemplary contributions of individuals who have encouraged the realistic and faceted portrayals of women in entertainment, commercials and featured programming. After achieving and maintaining a weight loss of 115 pounds, Mary, as Meredith Vieria states, “exemplifies the hard work people do to lose pounds and stay healthy.” Weight is the defining battle of Mary’s life and the heart of her inspiring work.

I'm fairly health conscious. Oatmeal for breakfast, whole grain breads, salad, chicken, tuna, salmon. I know what to do. It's not like I'm snacking on pork sausage and Prosciutto ham all day. I don't buy beef jerky at the Hess station.
