Senate Kingpins to Vote on Climate Changing Pipeline: Tell Them No -- Now!

Posted: Updated:

What Earth-changing events are happening this week? The US Senate Committee is going to vote on the climate changing Keystone XL pipeline, and NASA just announced the Earth has been through the hottest May on record.

While May might not have been particularly hot to you, it sure was on average for our planet, says NASA.

Unless you've been hiding under a rock (to escape the heat), you know that Big Oil wants to build a gigantic pipeline (with a leaky track record) sprawling across the US landscape from the devastated moonscape of the Canadian tar sands to southern US refineries...

so the US can export more heat-generating fossil fuels to the rest of the world, and we can experience yet more climate change and extreme weather!

Yippee!! Bring on those twin tornadoes, and more!

This is where you come in, folks. You (yes, you!) can make a difference. Now.

This week, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will vote on whether to approve the climate changing Keystone XL pipeline.

The good people at Nextgenclimate.org have created a gut-wrenching video message from US Midwestern farmers to those Senators, telling them to stop the pipeline. These farmers need you to help send the message home to the senators. Can you help?

@@ Watch the video, share with your friends, and ask them to tweet the Senate, too! Tweet the senators directly, here!

Midwest Farmers: No Pipeline, Please!

One farmer talks about how Big Oil offered him about $250,000 to build the pipeline across his land - and he turned them down. Then he explains why.

Hate saying no to anybody? Me, too. So balance it out by saying yes here:

Here's your chance! Mosaic, the solar power investment company, will help fund specific solar projects in California that people vote for. Help the largest US state economy go solar with a click here.
Then ask your friends to click away, too!

Remember, when California moves, the rest of the nation shakes - you might not live there, but getting it to go solar is a big step towards getting the nation to follow!
