Mary Jo Iozzio is Professor of Moral Theology at Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida. She is a member of the American Academy of Religion, Catholic Theological Society of America, and Society of Christian Ethics (as co-editor of the Journal of the Society of Christian Ethics).

She is the author of Self-Determination and the Moral Act (Peeters Press, 1995) and editor/contributor of Considering Religious Traditions in Bioethics (University of Scranton Press, 2001), Called to Something New: A People’s Peace Initiative (Pax Christi, 2006), The Other Casualties of War: War-Borne Disabilities (Journal of Religion, Disability and Health 12.3 [2008]), Calling for Justice Throughout the World: Catholic Women Theologians on HIV/AIDS (Continuum, 2008), and Called to Be Peacemakers (Pax Christi USA, 2009).

She serves on the Ethics Advisory Board of Bon Secours Health Systems, Inc; NETWORK, a Catholic Social Justice Lobby; and the Leadership Council of the Interfaith Drug Policy Initiative.
