Roundup of eBay Vintage Home Finds (PHOTOS)

Posted: 08/21/11 07:50 PM ET

Want to add some fab eco-friendly style to your home but have no time to page through thousands of eBay listings? Then just sneak a peek at my Weekly eBay Roundup of Vintage Home Finds.

This eclectic mix of designer and non-designer vintage home finds caught my discerning eye because of their uniqueness, contemporary feel or highly collectible nature.

As always, buyer beware! Be sure to read the listings closely and contact the sellers with any questions.

Today's selections include pieces by Tiffany, Lisa Larson and Rudi Gernreich. Be sure to check out the great Mid-Century Jewelry Chest and the unique mid-century lamp and watering can.

Which item is your favorite? Leave me a comment below to let me know and please take a minute to rate your favorite slides.

I have an apt full of accessories and furntiure I got on ebay, and then stopped when mad queen meg tried to buy california with the money I was giving her. I miss ebay, but democracy is more important.

Yes, but remember that eBay retains only a small portion of the money changing hands on eBay. Most of the winning bids go into the hands of the sellers. And one of the things I personally love about making purchases on eBay is that, particularly in the vintage categories, a large number of these sellers are solopreneurs or small businesses.

A small amount of $ is still more than nothing. I have found a few local steals and deals, I really do miss ebay because you can find specific things you are looking for and sometimes at great prices. You have a great eye btw -- I have the hedgehog ashtray, though my greatest love is Ben Seibel. Got any idea how hard it is to collect Ben Seibel without ebay? Thats how stubborn I am.

There are a few dealers on etsy, I hope more people go in that direction.

Have you tried apartmenttherapy? Their readers are all crazy enough to shop Room and Board. Seems like no great love of vintage in these parts, their loss. I always try to get people to understand the value of vintage -- when you buy ikea its worth appromiately $0.00 when you leave the store. I sold a Marc Bellaire pitcher/highball set i got for 20. for 300. and they still got a bargain.
