More than ever this year, Comedy Central's pair of flagship late night shows came together to form one solid block of insightful hilarity four times a week. Some of my favorite segments from The Daily Show's "best fucking news team ever" include Lewis Black on Glenn Beck's Nazi Tourette's, John Oliver at the World Cup, Wyatt Cenac as the Michael Steele puppet, Samantha Bee on all those lady candidates and "Jason Jones' Bayonne". Some of Jon Stewart's finest moments were his increasingly brilliant appearances as Glenn Beck, his insistent mockery of Rick Sanchez and his profanity-laced ... more

Community and Louie are fantastic; the two best comedies on television right now. And The Daily Show and 30 Rock continue to be reliable as ever.

No Archer or The League?

Dude the League is soo good lol.

Community is the only show on this list that I watch. It everything I ever wanted in a comedy, and even stuff I didn't know I wanted until I saw it on Community.

Also, thanks for mentioning my video.

No "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?" Really?

that is exactly what I logged in to comment on. I can't believe half of the shows in that list beat Sunny in Philadelphia or South Park

That paint ball episode of Community is the single funniest episode of TV I have ever seen (and I'm 50), but Craig Ferguson is the funniest man on TV, and his show should definitely be included.

I second this!

I'm with you. Archer cracks me up a lot more than these shows.

The League, It's Always Sunny, and The Middle should be on there.

Community is the best thing on television. I think I end up watching each episode 2 or 3 times (and I STILL missed the secret Abed plotline until it was just pointed out to me!)

If you watch the Bottle episode, you can actually see Annie's pen being taken from the table as Dean Pelton is talking about the puppy parade.

I just went and watches that part again and YOU ARE SO RIGHT! The details they put in when most shows would just let something like that go. I LOVE Community!
02:41 PM on 12/13/2010
I would add: Bored To Death, Raising Hope and The League
02:39 PM on 12/13/2010
I love Community, and think Parks and Recreation should be above 30 Rock (I like 30 Rock, but think Parks and Rec is funnier). Tried Modern Family, couldn't get into it, maybe I will try again, it could've been a bad episode. I am not big on Daily Show or Colbert, I like my comedy without politics. I would put Weeds on that list.

I could never get into parks and rec.  I think Amy Poehler tries way too hard and her humor doesn't seem to be nearly as natural as Steve Carell with Michael Scott.

She was much better in season 2. She was less Michael Scott in Season 2. The first couple episodes while funny, were more like Office 2, but in the second season it was more like its own show.
