What is it about politicians from Alaska? Mere weeks after Sarah Palin was found to have unlawfully abused her power in the Troopergate Scandal, Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens was found guilty of all seven corruption charges that he faced.
Each guilty count carries a possible sentence of up to five years in prison. So, after his infamous rant on the internet being a "series of tubes", Stevens may be heading to prison -- which is a "series of bars.".
We've obtained footage of Stevens' reaction immediately after the verdict was read. Take a look.
Ok, so that's obviously not actual footage. Stevens, however, did actually say
"I will fight this unjust verdict with every ounce of energy I have."
Maybe he can ask Sarah Palin for help. She was the director of a 527 that was literally called "Ted Stevens Excellence in Public Service, Inc."
Perhaps she can help him form a new one that focuses on his current predicament. How about "Ted Stevens Money For Appeals, Inc."?

The verdict is just. At some point, we stop caring whether Stevens accepts that reality or not.

Since Stevens has said he's still running for Senate, I mostly care that the voters in Alaska care.
Wow, I'm kinda surprised that he didn't say that he was glad that the jury had found him innocent!

That would be a very Republican reply. Just like good old Sarah.
