Conflict over fundamental change in Bolivia

Internal conflict continues in Bolivia between the government and the country's southern province. The oil rich South has demanded autonomy in response to President Morales' movement towards Socialism. President Morales has proposed changes to nation's constitution that include naturalization of natural resources, wealth redistribution, and a stronger voice for the indigenous people, who make up more than 70 percent of the population.

To understand the political battle that is underway, The Real News spoke with Jean Paul Guevara, Bolivia's Director General of Bilateral Relations.
