Maureen Price Tillman, L.C.S.W. received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975. She has worked as a psychotherapist with adolescents, families and adults for 35 years. Eight years ago, she founded College with Confidence. This psychotherapy service helps students (and their parents) facing a wide variety of issues whether preparing for college, already on campus, home for the summer, or studying abroad. Maureen leads workshops for parents, teens, schools, physicians, and mental health professionals on the college adjustment and on depression education.

Maureen’s commitment to depression education and suicide prevention has included being President of the New Jersey Association of Suicidology and a Group Facilitator for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Maureen created The New York Times Local College Corner. As the series creator and curator Maureen provided professional expertise and weaved the threads of preparation, adjustment, and skill development for a successful transition to college. She has been featured in The Star Ledger, Daily Record, New Jersey Jewish News, Maplewood Patch, on the National Association of Social Workers website as well as local cable television and radio shows.

Maureen has a private practice with offices in Maplewood and Morristown, N.J. and with today's technology is able to consult and counsel around the globe.
