Before diving into fashion, Mauri spent her first four years in the city as a professional modern dancer. Done with the touring, and really done with the perpetual debate over whether she could afford a (cheap) bottle of red wine, she opted for a career in her second love, clothes. She has worked with Steven Alan as visual merchandiser and resident stylist, opening his Los Angeles locations, styling his lookbooks, and merchandising his New York stores. She has also worked with White-Starr Aesthetic Consulting as a personal stylist. In addition Mauri has styled editorials featuring Doucette Duvall, Rebecca Minkoff, and Lulu Frost. She currently lives and works in New York City.
