On my show this week ON THE EDGE I ask the question, should Goldman Sachs be prosecuted for human rights violations? I have been in touch with famed human rights attorney Geoffrey Robertson who has agreed to discuss this hypothetical case on my show. My initial thought is that Goldman Sachs was guided in their human rights abuses just like Augusto Pinochet was during the time he was conducting deadly neo-liberal experiments on the population in Chile. The law eventually caught up to the Milton Friedman proselytizing criminal Pinochet and I think the law will eventually catch up with Goldman Sachs, but only if the prosecution venue is moved outside of the U.S.
Here in part 1 of my show ON THE EDGE I discuss the Goldman-Pinochet connection:

part 3

Max Keiser is INCREDIBLE!
Do not forget that Goldman-Sachs is one of the owners of the FED. Dissolve the FED and a lot of their revenue disappears along with their power.
Max,
In part 3, after Kanjorsky mentions "going back to the 16th century" (at 2:40), is that you that whispers "Jesus Christ" or is it someone on the C-SPAN tape?! Either way, it was funny.
Can't wait to see the show with Robertson.
Max Keiser should be commenting on US business shows regurlarly. It is spooky
that he can be shut out like this.
could not agree more. the fact HP has him as a columnist/freelancer is the only reason i ever visit this place.
Unbelievable - It appears these actions and the influence of Goldman are not unlike a coup - a financial coup.
Americans are losing their home and jobs they are dying from lack of heath care while Goldman is reaping obnoxious profits all at the cost of the working American People. This is not only Un-American it's criminal.
I found it interesting that Goldman did exactly what Cheney did with the New York Times when he was on Meet the Press -
He fed a New York Times Reporter that he believed Saddam had WMD, then when he was Meet the Press said, 'see, even the NYT a liberal left paper says Saddam had these WMDs' When he was the source of the report!
People need to spread these videos.
This is what was done to Americans, but what about what these money-lending-temple-owners did to developing countries...
so, are Americans unimportant? by the way, did you somehow fail to read even a word from Max? he spent half this little blog talking about Pinochet in Chile.
I would go further:
If Congress is protecting Goldman Sachs as it cannot distinguish between their fiduciary duty to protect people and conflicts of interest with the selected few, I would argue that it is time to remove the US government. After all one can assume a social contract between the people of the United States and the government where the people give up some liberties in exchange for protection. A failure of the government to secure rights is a failure which justifies the removal of the government, its agencies and officials.
i would argue that i agree with you.
If ever a company caused suffering for humanity, GS is at the top of the list. Retirement accounts have been wiped out, economies crashed and out right theft of billions in plain sight. Max was right, they are financial terrorists.

"Canonical research findings suggest that American entrepreneurs who establish popular online markets for customized education will catalyze the creation of many good jobs in America, and will end the reign of America’s kleptobankers. Some of the researchers: Clayton Christensen, Paul Romer and Paul Krugman."
