Ending Fashion Week With My Live QVC Show Tonight!

Another fun-filled fashion week has come to an end!

For me, it began on Fashions Night Out. Once again, the people of New York were out and about, filling the streets with shopping bags while attending parties at over 1,000 retailers throughout the city. I stopped by the Q-Shop, QVC's pop-up shop, located in the middle of Rockefeller Plaza. My husband, Donald, accompanied me and we ran into several fellow QVC designers including, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Isaac Mizrahi, Rachel Zoe and the woman behind FNO, Anna Wintour who made the Q-shop her first stop of the night!

On Wednesday, my dear friend, Michael Kors, showed his exquisite Spring 2011 designs at the new tents at Lincoln Center. It was an exciting experience as I've always celebrated fashion week at Bryant Park. The atmosphere was exhilarating and the people-watching was entertaining. There are so many beautiful and creative people in New York that I can't help but admire them. Expressing yourself with fashion is a great way to show complete strangers and passersby's a bit of your personality without speaking.

As this year's recipient of the CFDA's Lifetime Achievement Award, Michael lived up to the high expectations of the fashion world. He showed pops of yellow, blue, and green throughout the otherwise earth toned collection. In all honesty, everything just looked so free, fresh, glamorously sophisticated and easy to wear! I can't wait to make some of his spring pieces additions to my closet!

The last two days I've spent appearing on various shows to promote my Fall 2010 collection of Melania™ Timepieces & Jewelry. I am so excited to be appearing live on QVC again this Friday at 9pm. It's such a great opportunity to speak with consumers and hear their feedback. I am hoping that the second go-around will be as successful as the first! My pieces represent a huge part of who I am. Designing and creating jewelry is my passion and I find great enjoyment seeing women wear something I've worked so hard on.

The week continued as did the liveliness from the shows which spread through the entire city. Traffic was a bit chaotic as people are adjusting to the new Lincoln Center location, but all in all it was a great week!

Call into the show tonight -- QVC at 9pm. I'd love to chat with you!

Much love,
