When you need to relax, rejuvenate, and not think about a thing, the all-inclusive resort could be the best thing for you. So, we tapped into ResortCompete.com, an all-inclusive resort wholesaler for travelers, for a look through their database and found their list of the six most requested all-inclusive resorts in the world.

Whether you're looking for soul-searching peace of mind, family fun, group destinations or a romantic getaway, these resorts will likely have what you're seeking.

From white sandy beaches to breathtaking mountaintops, all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean are a haven for travelers. Case in point: Cocos Antigua, one of the best places to enjoy the serenity of the sea. Positioned between two pristine white beaches, Cocos Antigua features gorgeous rooms, each with its own balcony, which open to breath-taking views onto the ocean.

The words "all-inclusive" strike fear into my heart. Fear of being surrounded by fat midwesterners and gold chain-wearing guidos gorging themselves on all-you-can-eat buffets and cheap alcohol.

Having lived in several countries over the years I was skeptical of "all inclusives" because of the reasons you mentioned. However, we decided to try it. We stayed at "The Beach Palace" in Cancun. It is a smaller resort. We were blown away by the impeccable service, terrific food, and luxurious accomodations. I'm sure there are many resorts which would be a nightmare, but this one is outstanding. Very family friendly as well.

Most popular = high occupancy = packed house = will look nothing like the images that were professionally shot at 6am on a Sunday.

Using a travel wholesaler as the source of this ranking is problematic, they sell the packages for these resorts and are far from unbiased.
