Barack, love you man, but I'm not ready for the 3AM phone call. Seriously. I'm glad you've finally made your pick, maybe you were up celebrating and all, but for the text shout-out to hit at 2:45 in the morning is too much.
Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware. Hmm, the details escape, too much to process this late/early... First thing enters my half-dreaming head: Let Sen. Biden become attack dog.
Blogs say you should do more of getting down in the dirt with the McCain campaign. I think the only thing you need to do is get going on pointing out the differences between your policies and McCain's. I love the McCain economics commercial too. It's short, sweet and to the point. Something the blogosphere also has been grumbling about.
Must remember that if Barack does go against his own ethics, it won't just be him living with that decision, it will be all of us. He told us during the primaries that we may not always agree with him, but when he makes a decision, we can trust him to have looked at all sides of the position. Even right now, half awake, I trust him enough to know that he'll do this.
Talk about change? That would be a change! Imagine someone in the White House who makes decisions based on information, for and against, weighing real arguments before going into "decider" mode...
I'm so sleepy and even thinking about what Obama and Biden are going to have be getting busy doing in the next few months and, if they win, in the next few years -- no, I can't go there, too exhausting.
I see a chorus... not a celestial chorus but a huge people's chorus ringing out to influence the president and congress in the years ahead... yeah, ah... Congratulations to both senators, now campaign!
