Melissa Winkler is the Director of Communications at the International Rescue Committee, a global aid organization that provides emergency and recovery assistance to people affected by violent conflict and natural disasters. Melissa leads IRC’s efforts toraise public awareness about under-reported humanitarian crises and the needs of refugees in the United States as well as vulnerable people in crisis zones where the IRC operates, including including Pakistan, Haiti, Sudan, Congo, Myanmar and Iraq.
