Daily Download editor-in-chief Lauren Ashburn has joined Fox News and Fox Business as a contributor.
"Very excited about the opportunity to work with all of the great journalists at Fox News and Fox Business," Ashburn told HuffPost in an email.
Ashburn's move follows on the heels of Fox News' hiring of Howard Kurtz, whose role with the Daily Download came under scrutiny a few months ago.
The Huffington Post reported in May how Kurtz was contributing significantly to the little-known Daily Download and promoting it far more on Twitter than his two places of employment, The Daily Beast and CNN. The Daily Beast fired Kurtz the next day for making another high-profile mistake.
According to Ashburn's LinkedIn profile, she stopped being a Daily Beast/ Newsweek contributor in July and joined Fox News in August.
