Michael D. D. White is a real estate development, housing, and public finance attorney who holds a masters degree in urban planning. Until recently he was a senior New York State official with the state finance authorities where he ran the legal department. He started in private practice and was in government for twenty-seven years.

Mr. White studied writing and economics at Sarah Lawrence College, law at Brooklyn Law School and urban planning at Hunter University.

He lives in Brooklyn Heights, New York with his wife Carolyn and two exceptionally talented teenage daughters.

He loves the music of the Pizzarellis, (John and Jessica Molasky) and Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks.
