I Just Saved a Whole Lot of Money on My Gas Prices!

According to CNN, some Americans are now traveling to Mexico to buy cheap gas. Like its people, Mexico's gas is both hardworking and half the price of the American equivalent.

Naturally, saving so much money on gas comes with its own temptations.

For example: it let's say at $4 a gallon, it costs you $80 to fill your truck with American fuel.

But with Mexican gas, you only spend $40 on gas. That leaves you with $40 dollars to spend. And you're already in Mexico! Let's look at what $40 can buy you while visiting the mariachi capital of the world.

  • 40 pirated DVDs of three-month-old movies
  • 5 open heart surgeries
  • 6 ½ "adopted" children
  • 80 rip-off Yankees hats
  • A couple drinks for that college girl on Spring Break
  • 1 professional soccer team
  • 3,000 VCRs
  • 53 Batman Forever action-figures
  • 12 Aztec artifacts
  • 2 crates of dried Nickelodeon Gak
  • 30 Euros (useful if traveling to Europe)
  • The state of Oaxaca

What a haul! If you happen to be located near the country of Mexico, I definitely suggest getting some gas from across the border and staying for the bargain deals. It's like having a real-life Overstock.com!

If you live far away, I would try not going to Mexico but instead relying on driving less or public transportation. And for bargains, I suggest the Swap Shop on Sunrise Boulevard in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida!
