Looks like Dad has met his match!

Michael Mamas has dedicated his life to a road less traveled in pursuit, not of money or materiality, but of knowledge. A long and winding road from philosophy, to physics, to veterinary medicine, to spiritual India.

As part of HuffPost's new parent-child interview series Talk To Me, Dr. Mamas' daughter, Jaya, goes off script with surprise questions in this delightful daughter/father interview.

During the interview, Michael and Jaya touch on childhood passions, career changes, and lifelong pursuits.

At one point Jaya aks, "What would your reaction be if I decided to drop everything and move to Morocco or China for a couple of years?"

Dr. Mamas responds, "I think it depends on the person. I think it depends on your motivations... Are you running out of the house or are you running into the garden? In other words, are you running away from something because you just can't handle it or is it something you believe in that you are pursuing?"

Michael Mamas is an author, lecturer, and spiritual scholar. His daughter, Jaya Elle Mamas, is a junior in high school and an artist, recently winning an American Visions Award in the 2016 Scholastic Art Awards.
