Michael... I am a 2nd Generation American on my Mom's side. Her parents came to America from Sicily in the early 1900's. Grandma gave birth to my Mom at age 47 in 1927, so I remember that TURN OF THE CENTURY WOMAN. They BRAVED CROSSING THE SEAS to come to AMERICA, truly believing HER STREETS WERE PAVED WITH GOLD, and laden with opportunity for their heirs! When Mom was aged 5, when she was loaded onto a New England Railway Car with numbers of other NY Inner City Church Kids, destined for CLINTON, CT, 'A City of Hope' to them! Her sponsor, MRS FRANCES 'BALLARD' BURNHAM, never had children of her own, bequeathed Mom her 1787 Home (YES, SAME YEAR AS OUR CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION; AMAZING, ISN'T IT?) upon her demise. SO MY PARENTS, MY SISTER AND I, EXPERIENCED, WHAT SEEMED LIKE A MODERN DAY, AMERICAN FAIRYTALE COME TRUE! And, I'm not sure, but I have A SNEAKIN' suspicion this lady, might have even been A REPUBLICAN (but so was Lincoln)! Imagine that! This to say, I often heard talk, that Grandma's Papa was a shoemaker in Palermo, and wore a yamacha while he plied his trade! So it is from My Heart, when I say, My Soul stirred, to hear these Intelligent and Genteel Messengers, to All God's Elect Descendents of Every Scattered Tribe settled in THIS PROMISED LAND, 'CALL TO TRUTH'! SHALOM! DONNA BARTOLOTTA MASTURZI

I may not be Jewish, but I am a human being, and this was beautiful and it made me cry.

As a non-Jewish person, I was impressed with the video. I admit I was also misty eyed watching Mr. Obama speak before 200,000 people in Berlin. Both videos show how he is respected for his compassion for all people and his intellect that will allow him to actually do something to help. I think both Israel AND the Palestinians must try to allow each other to live in peace.

This is OUR Time - This is OUR Moment.

Me too. I'm actually crying.

The only thing that bothered me was the need to stress he's not Muslim and I know it's just a realism of the world we live in until they get Bin Laden (and that's on Bush's hands - oh what an inept man) and until there is a peace settlement between Palestine and Israel. The fact is that the American people and Jewish Americans especially will not elect a man unless he's divested of any suggestion he's Muslim. But that realism must feel bad for good Muslims.

But that was a beautiful film. I think it reflects a lot of world opinion. Echoes a lot of Americans. They, we, want Obama.

Oh please vote right this time people.

I just saw a segment on the daily show, that showcased elderly Jewish voters, and most of them were spouting off all the negative stereotypes of Obama that have been put out there. They even made some strange remarks about Michelle Obama. It was obvious there is deifinitely a race issue at play. It concerns me.

Many of the people in the group got very loud and argumentative, defending the falacies about Obama. I do not know how you change that level of ignorance and hate. I am not sure that even the above film, which by the way is fantastic, will convince them.

We really really need the youth vote!!!

This is a great video and I'm really glad you reposted it. I'll be copying this link and forwarding it on in emails to all of my friends regardless of their religion. We can agree that we need peace in the middle east and we need leaders who understand the history, cutlure and complexities of this difficult region. Obama/Biden work together as a team and they are intelligent enough to surround themselves with a cabinet of experts. Unlike the Bush administration and McCain they will listen to their adivsors. We need to get this posted to Florida newspapers comments/editorials, blogs and send to not only Jewish organizations across the country but any organization that promotes peace and diplomacy as a solution.
