The McCain campaign has now said publicly that they don't think Sarah Palin should have to answer any questions from the media. Since a free press is the only way the People can ask the questions we have a right to know, maybe the media should stop granting access to McCain "spokesmen" until their candidate for Vice President of The United States answers some questions. There are legitimate questions to be asked and, as one of The People, I'd like to start with the following:
1 - Did you really ban books from that library up there? Did you fire a librarian over it? Can you tell us your feelings about censorship in a democracy?
2 - Did you really tell the secessionist group in Alaska that they were doing great work? This same group whose leader said in an interview that, "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government?"
3 - Did you abuse the governor's office by trying to get your brother-in-law fired from the state police?
4 - Exactly what is it about Alaska's "proximity to Russia" that qualifies as "foreign policy experience?"
5 - When Campbell Brown on CNN asked McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds to name one decision that you made concerning the Alaska National Guard that qualifies you for the office you seek, why is that considered "over the line?" Do the People no longer have the right to know the candidates' qualifications before electing them to office?
6 - When you say that the Iraq war is a mission from God, what exactly do you mean? And which God are we talking about? Exactly how far does that God want us to go? When does God think we should withdraw? What does God think about the war in Afghanistan? Russia? China? Does God have any thoughts on the housing crisis?
7 - When you said in your acceptance speech that, "Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's [Obama's] worried that someone won't read them their rights," are you suggesting that we should suspend the use of Miranda Rights for anyone deemed by the government to be a terrorist? What legal process would deem an arrested individual a "terrorist?" What other basic rights do you feel should be abolished in the "War on Terror?"
8 - What are your thoughts about the separation of church and state? When you say you want to teach "creationism" in schools, what other elements of Christianity should be taught in schools? In order to design that curriculum, would priests have to be put on our school boards? Should any other religions be taught in school? Judaism? Islam? Buddhism? Or do the children growing up in those households not have the same rights as the ones growing up in yours? Should Christianity also be incorporated into the offices of government?
Readers, if you have any more questions you'd like to be answered, please post them in the comments. You are The People, you have a right to know. Anyone that tells you that you don't have a right to know should clarify exactly what they mean by the freedom they will defend with their very last breath.

Have you ever been to Europe? Africa? the Middle East? Asia? Have you ever been to New York City?
As an advocate for individuals with disabilities, what have you done or what will you do to help people with disabilities?
Wow! You guys have thought up a lot of great questions ! Here's a couple more tho...
1. As a woman, how can you, in good conscience run with and support a candidate that overlooks women's achievements by opposing the equal pay act?
2. As Social Security will run out of funds in 2041, what are your thoughts on the matter? (you will be 73?)
"Does God have any thoughts on the housing crisis?"
That's a killer line!
Given you are the governor who is in the fortunate circumstance of running budget surpluses:
Why did you veto funding for pregnant teenagers?
Given you have publically stated that if elected, families with children with special needs will have a friend in Washington:
Why did you veto funding to assist such families?
Given you stake your career upon being a reformer:
Do you think our foreign policy should be determined by lobbyists for foreign countries?
Do you have specific Republican legislators in mind to put your reformer screws to? Who?
Will you, especially given the appearance of abuse of power in your own administration, reform the Justice Department so that hirings and firings will not be dependent on personal relationships or electoral politics?
Given you have taxed gas companies in order to provide all the citizens of your state energy dollar welfare:
Do you believe in a national program of socialized energy should be enacted?
Given that you have publically stated that you had no idea of what a Vice President does:
What have you been told by the McCain campaign will be your work responsibilities if elected?
Given your publically stated religious beliefs:
will you strictly enforce the separation of church and state as laid out in the First Amendment?
and will you will you not have a strict abortion litmus test when advocating to the President on possible Supreme Court Justices?
Charlie Gibson should be sent the responses to this post.
Yes, ask Palin so she is well-prepared for her debate with Biden or at the only interview with a TV station. Her hiding from the press emphasize her inexperience but it seems Obama won despite the "inexperience" attack on him so the main points to attack the liars is expose their LIES! Also make clear Obama's policies in short, easy to remember, to the points and emphasize the contrasts and McCain flipflops.
The Republicans twisted her resume and McCain's (he opposed before he supported and he supported before he opposed!) to pull the wool over voters' eyes by telling them McCain's past record on certain issues, instead of his present one, when it is appropriate or the reserve. So it's good with his long records: he can choose which one, the McCain of 2000 or McCain of 2008!
I hope the media can be neutral and present the truth to voters. I don't trust some in the press who just sell their soul to the devils telling the lies just like their masters.
Vote for issues, not beauty nor lies: AFFORDABLE HEALTH INSURANCE, WOMEN'S CHOICE, VETS BENEFITS, EQUAL PAY.
you need to look at the electoral map on real clear politics:
OBAMA: 273
Mc - 265 (no toss ups)

OBAMA: 303.9
Mc:234.1

ELECTORAL VOTES IS ALL THAT MATTERS FOLKS! REMEMBER!
How Does Palin's Religous Beliefs Impact How She Would Govern as President?
Clearly her church impacts her policy. She believes in outlawing abortion.
She believes in the literal truth of the Bible. (Creationism)
MOST IMPORTANT: Presumably she believes in the literal interpretation of the Book of Revelations, that the establishment of the State of Israel is a sign of the end times and that an army will march out of Russia to destroy Israel at the time of the second coming of Christ. How would these beliefs impact her foreign policy?
Sorry, can't resist, brian-in-nc!
How would these beliefs impact her policies? Allow me to answer for her:
1) She'd start a war against enemies of Israel in the Middle East. ( Well, there are still some countries in that region we haven't invaded / liberated yet. Plus, there's still Russia...)
2) She'd dump all mainstream-science-based public school curriculum standards, dismantle the entire American secular public education system and move to tax supported vouchers for religious education for all. (Oops, Bush/Cheney have already beaten her to the start line on that, too...)
3) She'd outlaw all abortion within the US, and refuse foreign aid to countries which practice family planning. She'd pooh-pooh population explosion doomsday warnings, and encourage everyone (every Christian, that is) to be "fruitful and multiply". She'd begin by setting a personal example.
(Oops, again, Bush way ahead on that score, too, except on setting the homefront example, at least that we know of.)
So, there you go, brian. "Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior."---Dr.Phil. "When people tell you who they are, listen to them."---Maya Angelou.
Palin offers not only McSame, but McMoreso.
1. Have you ever been to New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and/or Chicago? What makes you the second most qualified person in the nation to deal with the issues of people who live in these cities?
2. What religions are acceptable for an American?
2. Do you have a passport?
3. What's the difference between Sunni and Shiite Muslims?
4. Have you ever had a face to face conversation with a woman who has had an abortion?
5. Why do you advocate removing polar bears from the endangered species list?
6. Do you shoot the wolves yourself?
7. As Mayor, you make enough to afford to pay others to care for your children. What advice to you have for a pregnant 17 year old from a working class family who doesn't have enough money to pay for bills and rent and cannot ask her parents for support because they don't have any money to give?
8. Why aren't you and John McCain answering questions like these from the Americans you claim to support?
9. As a liberal democrat, am I still considered an American?
10. You hid your pregnancy for a long time. What else will you hide if you are elected into office?
Name 10 policies that you differ than the current Bush Administration for the better.
heck. name one policy.
If you had to appoint Justices to the Supreme Court, would you look for those whose religious views match yours?
Gov.Palin the McCain camp has said the liberal media has attacked you, can you site some specific examples?
Gov. Palin, the can you explain why the suspension of habeas corpus was a good idea? Also, if you don't mind, can you give us a quick definition?
Gov. Palin, if your daughter was raped would she be allowed to have an abortion? (Everyone in the USA needs to hear that answer.)
Gov. Palin, can you describe, in detail, the issues facing a modern Russia, and how the world can help fix them?
Gov. Palin, please tell us about your views on the separation of church and state?
Gov. Palin, please explain to us why you think you should be the Vice President.
Kudos on the notion that, if the McC campaign is going to decide who can or cannot be questioned, then the media should decide not to talk to any of them.
Describe your connection to the Alaska Independce Party. Do you believe that Alaska should secede from the Union? Why would the Vice Chair of the AIP describe you as a sympathizer and an infiltrator of the Republican party?

Considering that Biden took the weekend off after the DNC convention from the Sunday talk circuit, why is Palin held to a different standard? Given that she is getting ready to start on a 60 day "blitz" through America, is it unfair for her to take a weekend off and spend time with her family and friends?
I'm sure that you are anxiously waiting to hear her words and that you are one of the "many" undecideds on HuffPo..lol
As a former resident of Alaska while in the military, I will say that dismissing the foreign policy experience from being Gov of Alaska is a bit ignorant. There are a lot of common areas between Alaska and Russia with regards to fishing rights, immigration (the Russian mafia was in Anchorage when I was there in the mid-90s), and border security. In addition, the Alaskan Army National Guard is one of a small few (I believe Hawaii is the other one) of Army NGs with infantry units as a part of their "arsenal". This is because of the real world threats that have existed up there for years and years.
Ignorant? Then perhaps they should educate us. They are the ones touting her experiance. Well then, what is that experiance? What is the name of her Russian counterpart? How often do they talk? Is the National Guard actually guarding the border up there and the MSM has let us down again? Blank stares do not suffice. That is why the question was raised in the first place. The brave McCain proclaims the question out of bounds and over the line canceling an interview. Refusing to talk about it is not what I want from a candidate.
Republicans made a huge issue of Jeremiah Wright. Where are they with regard to her pastor? Will she disavow him, and why not? He has been at least as hateful of America. And how about her seccessionist husband? What if Michelle Obama wanted to separate Illinois from the rest of the country? Does she really think the AIP does "great work". These people disgrace the party of Lincoln.
