Wasn't there a part of the ABC Palin/Gibson interview where Charlie says, I didn't understand what u were saying or something similiar?

I don't know what Obama's doing with the campaign contributions he's been getting but if he's not innundating the media with this kind of ad, maybe we all deserve to loose, cuz obviously we haven't learned a thing from the last few election cycles.

This is exactly what I've been urging in my blogs, the Democratic 527s must run these kinds of ads -- excellent! There must be an answer to this VP like the one in this video, more of them! She is the Swift Boat of 2008 and must be answered forcefully!

I agree, ads like this.

But not swift-boating, distortions of the truth ads.

Humor is a great vehicle for carrying yr point across.

I have SO been hoping someone would do this!!! This is what I kept imagining as she was talking to Charlie.... Kuddos to him for keeping a straight face.

This sexism that I saw in the primaries and now is one reason I have walked away from the Democratic Party.

It simply makes my skin crawl.

how is it sexist to expect your leaders to be educated, "other centered" and intelligent ? and we are glad traiotrs like you have gone over to the dark side

It's the truth. What's wrong with you that you will accept and vote for a woman who has no knowledge of policies and our economy. Gibson just asked her simple questions and you clearly see the tap dance. She does not know, yet you will vote for her because she is a woman that is against abortion. There are more pressing issues facing us who are alive...like health care, our economy , 401k, pensions. etc....not an unborn fetus.

Oh Ann, You didn't have to walk away from the Democratic Party. You were never in it.
Besides, this video clip was made by Republicans for Obama.

I just stated facts. It's a fact she used her pageant money for college. I saw her sister say it. You don't need to wear a bathing suit for an academic scholarship. There's no stretching the truth here.
Come on over to Limbaugh's "babe." And that's a fact.

PumaAnn I've read yr past comments from yr profile.

It's not credible that u walked away from the Dems due to sexism.

You're excuse is not credible.

I saw her sister being interviewed and she said Sarah entered beauty pageants for the scholarships to pay for college.
What about "academic merit" scholarships? And you don't need to parade around in a bathing suit to get one!

For clarity (& common sense) can we take the Sarah Palin situation OUT OF THE REALM OF POLITICS for a moment......and place the same argument in sports or business or ANY OTHER FIELD OF ENDEAVOR.
Can you imagine a highly skilled Journalism teacher in Alaska (or East Podunk) being given a promotion over everyone else to lead the NY TImes? Or a skilled PROSPECT in the minor leagues being given the ball to start the World Series? NO ONE in NO OTHER FIELD would have picked SO INEXPERIENCED & UN KNOWLEDGEABLE PERSON for such a high position. John McCain must be thinking with his little john. He's certainly NOT thinking of his country!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:57 AM on 09/15/2008

And that very same argument doesn't apply to Obama why?

Because he chose, as his Vice-President, someone who would serve him well in the White House, not Palin, which, you MUST admit, is someone McCain chose because she would serve him well in the *campaign*.

What kind of Presidential candidate chooses someone to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency because they're a useful manipulation tool for the election? That's not only cynical and sneaky, it's dangerous. Say what you like about Joe Biden, but do you doubt he'd be better able to handle the geopolitical complexities of being President than Palin would?

Palin would be another Bush: controlled by handlers and puppeteers like Cheney. Biden would NOT.

There's the difference, "my friends". Right there.

Because Obama is a thinker and has more potential., and has accomplished more. He's had a very distinguished academic career. The fact that she went to 5 colleges before she was able to obtain a degree indicates to me that she was not a very good student. Her executive experience is rinky-dink. A sports broadcaster, a fisherman, and hunter. Impressive.

I wasn't thrilled by Obama to begin with, but he has been VETTED for almost 2 years now, by the media and the American people. He has also run his campaign in a very smart way. (And I would guess that he knows what the Bush Doctrine is.)

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:39 AM on 09/15/2008

Not a very apt analogy. That kind of thing happens all the time, actually. "Highly skilled Journalism teachers" and "minor league prospects" certainly do fulfill the qualifications for their positions, and can probably step in and do a fine job.

The selection of Sarah Phalin for VP is more like hiring Micheal Vick to be your starting pitcher for the World Series: he's an athlete who built his career around throwing balls, but he's never even *thought* about throwing a pitch with this kind of ball, professionally or unprofessionally - let alone on the national and international stage in the World Series.

Plus, they both enjoy engaging in gruesome canine death sports.

Or put another way, would you want someone with 100 hours flight experience on a Cessna, piloting the 747 you're flying on?

Dear Sir:

My parents are life long Republicans. This time my siblings and I are voting Obama-Biden, even though our choice would have been Hillary as the nominee. However, your blog sir, is meant to demean women. Yes, you just could not resist.

I disagree. I'm a woman and I don't find this video demeaning at all. It is what it is...two woman who are clueless who put themselves out there for public consumption. What I do find demeaning is the way McCain is using a woman (Palin) as a political gimmick. He will do anything to win.

Not everything is demeaning. People need to look at the point. Sarah Palin hasn't a clue. Russia is close to Alaska? That is foreign policy experience. Oh no, wait, its because of the pipeline. Hillary had a brain and experience. Obama has a brain and experience...not as much, but 100 times more than this candidate.

are we fighting for a woman, or a vp?

No matter how bad a choice McCain and Palin are, Republicans would still vote for them, regardless of their lies. Republicans have a sense of entitlement in judging other people's morals. They prefer to vote for liars who are pro-life advocates, rather than for someone who is truthful, but a pro-choice candidate.

I've read various references (last was in a bio special on MSNBC last evening) to the fact that Sarah Palin switched schools five times before finally earning a Bachelor's Degree. No further detail on why this occurred. Has anyone seen more detail on this part of her history?

Me too, did she flunk out, if money was such an issue why did she first go to hawaii, not exactly a cheap state to live and she would of been paying an out of state tuition rate. Something is very fishy there.
