Reading The Pictures: Condi ... Beyond The Fourth Grade

Do you remember how Bush -- known for stumbling and stuttering for eight years -- was all-of-a-sudden so lucid (and furious) in his final press conference? Dropping your guard will do that.

So, what is the media doing amusing itself over a 4th-grader asking Condi Rice a waterboarding question when Stanford students had the practically historic confrontation with her at a dorm reception three days earlier? Watch the video taken at Stanford with an eye on Rice's body language. Whereas the Secretary of State, too, was always bumbling over herself to find the right "diplomatic" words, here -- with her guard down -- she is suddenly perfectly articulate, if also impressively contemptuousness (in this environment of otherwise higher learning).

The student behind her most likely can't see it, but I'd say his expression certainly registers the fist.

Pardon me for bringing up the idea of affirmative action.

She stated that they were terrified. People with that much responsibility were not supposed to be terrified'; they were supposed to be rational. Anyone notice how many times toe word feel is used now when the word think should be. We should not feel ourselves into war; we should think it over very carefully.

i have for years tried to find her "dissertation," her actual academic credentials. What little I have found confirms my initial impression that they, and she, are bogus from the start.

What really needs to be asked is why Stanford would destroy its shining reputation by harboring a war criminal. Looks like she is outing herself. Maybe some faculty there will have the integrity and self -respect to demand her removal from any and all association.

I heard her referred to twice on Countdown as a "Soviet Expert," even while she was being roundly criticized. It simply amazes me what fools my fellow mortals be.

She is a war criminal, an unindicted co-conspirator and a proven liar under oath. She should be in prison with a sign around her neck that says, MUSHROOM CLOUD."

Will there ever be any justice for all the innocent dead?

Princess Sparkle Pony was all over this one on her blog - she awarded Glittering Hooves to the Stanford student who asked the question:

http://sparklepony.blogspot.com/2009/04/torture-no-no-dear-sez-condi.html

Her take on the Condi vs. 4th Grader story is even funnier:

"So the kid was all, like, "OMG, which Jonas Brother is your favorite and why did we, like, torture 'n' stuff?" Condi then scrunched up her forehead and gave her standard response, which is, "OMG, we were so scared after 911 that we made sure to declare everything legal so that the President wouldn't break any laws." See? Such a simple answer! Why do people keep asking about it? Sheesh!"

Rice is still touting the former WH line on torture. Shame on her for lying to children. And shame on her for being a part of this. She gives excuses for this saying they followed the letter of the law. Not, they had hack lawyers writing memo's to cover this collective butts.

If she had only shown such ferocity in her confrontations with Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. But alas, they got the fourth-grader treatment.

These people need to read the Constitution.

Beginning with the first words, "We the People"...

How arrogant she is and what a sense of entitlement.

That doesn't look like righteous indignation, Ms. Rice.
