With McCain hovering around the Southwest, Carly Fiorina, the female face of the McCain campaign, actually holding a press conference for convention press here in Denver this morning, and GOP all-stars cycling through all week, the latest McCain video looks to specifically heighten tension between Hillary supporters and the Obama campaign at the DNC.
In these juxtaposed screen shots, notice how an enthusiastic woman, standing in the same position, switches her alliegience, the two signs in the video practically morphing into each other. Although unity seems to be mostly the attitude here, there is a pro-Hillary march scheduled for Wednesday. ... Now, I couldn't imagine the McCain campaign would be doing anything about that.
Update: Just saw a tweet saying Hillary march has been cancelled for fear of violence.

"Hell hath no fury.." and all that!
Sadly, while holding the Hillary sign, she's enthusiasic and excited about supporting her. Holding the McCain sign, she nothing but bitter and angry and looking for revenge. People like her don't quite understand who they THINK they're getting back at by voting against their own issues!
Remind me again, wasn't Carly Fiorina the one who got fired for scr*wing up Hewlett-Packard, as well as incurring huge job losses? And this is McCain's top economic adviser? Yeesh, good luck selling that one to the public, DearJohn.
This typical of the Republican politics they can never run on what we would call on value issues they have to pray on the weak of mind like this woman who has not class and does not know one thing about the issues.
Apparently she just found out that McCain doesn't support Roe v Wade! Ooops.
What a dodo!
I wonder if she knows that McCain
* Insulted Chelsea Clinton
* Offered Cindy up as a Buffalo Chip (dung) girl.
* Called his wife a c*nt and a troll*p.
* Started seeing Cindy whilst still married to his first wife.
* Took campaign contributions from someone who 'joked' about rape
You go girl!
How about a little opposition research on the girl in the ad? It would be instructive to find out the history of her voting record and party affiliation.
Stand up and fight back Democrats!
Yes, and also why should she be taken seriously if she backed the candidate who lost? I love the patronizing tone of "I voted for a loser, and so should you!"
Hey give McCain credit where credit is due. This a very 'telegenic' young lady making a low information pitch to get low information voters to make a decision based on anything but policy and McCains real character. I only wish Obama would do something to attract the low information voters.
The whole thing is so obvious, it's insulting.
How would you honor Hillary Clinton by voting for McCain; he regularly made jokes about Hillary being a lesbian, sat front and center at the impeachment of her husband, vilified her for being too outspoken as First Lady, makes jokes about rape, and called Chelsea ugly? Hillary Clinton would never vote for McCain, and if you're a Hil supporter and looking to take your vote elsewhere, try Bob Barr. Don't slap Hil in the face by voting for a guy who spent the last 15 years mocking her. It's cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Well put.
So, what is the PUMA position? That Hillary is closer to John McCain than to Obama on the important issues?
Ahem. Really? McCain just said that he never would have nominated the 4/5ths of the supreme court that are solidly behind Roe. Do you feel that way?
John McCain supports expanding offshore drilling...and doing little else...to end our dependence on foreign oil. Big supporter of offshore drilling, are you?
John McCain thinks 100 years in Iraq would be a reasonable thing for the US. Is that your foreign policy?
Tell me, what policies of John McCain's, exactly, do you find to be superior to Barack Obama's?
"So, what is the PUMA position? That Hillary is closer to John McCain than to Obama on the important issues?"
Yup. When they get called out on it, the red herring "BUT OBAMA IS SO ARROGANT HOW COULD HE DO THAT TO OUR GAL!"
Here's a mental exercise for all you remaining Clinton supporters. Imagine Hillary had won. Now imagine the vitriol of the attacks on Hillary that would've come immediately out of the McCain camp. Imagine how low McCain would've sunk to spear Senator Clinton. Remember McCain is a senior member of the party that was claiming that the Clintons used drug paraphanalia for Christmas decorations. The RNC literally HATES Hillary Clinton. and these are the people you are now thinking of giving your support to.
I agree that the republicans have been horrible to the Clintons, but I expect that from them. I didn't expect it from the democratic party and my eyes are now open to the democrats and their hypocrasy. After this election, I don't think that democrats can hold the moral ground and pontificate on the "evilness" of the republicans. You've shown your true character and I'm choosing not to support it.
You may as well remove the last three letters from your handle: you're not for her. Her daughter was mocked by the Republican nominee, her husband was impeached by them, their policies are the opposite of hers---and you think you support her?
But it isn't about Her. It's about You.
You like where you are, and appeals to you won't work. Logic won't work: the party that starts wars on false information is preferable to the party whose procedural rules annoy you? The party of no comprehensive health care is preferable to the Democrats?
You must live a fairly privileged life to not pay attention to whether we can get a decent healthcare plan. So indulge your anger. Enjoy. But take those three letters off your ID. You aren't for her. You have nothing to do with her.
Furthermore, I didn't have to imagine the vitriol from the republicans, I saw and heard it from the democrats.
So this woman is supporting McCain, a man who stands as the antithesis of everything Hillary Clinton stands for? Smart.
This is typical fare for the GOP. It's the old divide and conquer policy they have used for decades.
Our country needs a uniter - someone who thinks of all of us as a collective group that should come together for the common good of our country and citizens. The GOP is not the answer and McCain with his Hillary ad war lays this out very clearly where he and the GOP stand. Slash and burn and the American public be damned. The middle and lower class do not play a part in McCain's America. If we did he would actually be working to help us and he is not. He is helping big business and big money and for the rest of us - well," let them eat cake!"
Now I hear on MSNBC that Cindy McCain is being dispatched to war torn Georgia. That's right, Cindy McCain! The Barbie doll is the new secret weapon in McCain arsenal of foreign policy advisors.
God help us!!!!!
I agree enoughalready. You are on point. Not wonder they are talking about this McCain ad.....The friggin MSM is showing the damn thing every ten minutes....Since yesterday CNN, MSNBC AND FOX have shown it over a 100 times so far. This is sickening. They just want their ratings high and want these GOP operatives to upset this Convention. Sickening.
Journalists need to start being discerning about what they cover - and dispatch investigators and fact-checkers BEFORE they print or shoot a segment. Re-regulation of MSM is needed because there are NO STANDARDS any longer.
Carly Fiorina should not be ambushing the Democratic Convention -- and no Press should have attened her Press Conference.
Hillary Clinton should not be allowed to hijack the Convention from the Nominee -- leveraging and manipulating the Press -- for personal agenda(s). She lost. End of story.
A former President should not be given a platform to circulate personal grievances, because he is retired and is not the DNC Chairman. He is now a BUSINESSMAN w/interets that confict w/the needs of Democratic voters, clearly.
the thing if Obama had picked her McCain would have come out with the same type of adds that he has out now with Biden. Do people think when they are in the booth that they will vote for McCain, no not really. Most will stay home or vote Obama. To think that there is a big group of people out there is just wrong. PUMA could not even get 250 people to show up to talk about this idea. At the end of the day Obama will get most of the people who voted for her and will leave McCain in the dust.
PUMAs would be happy to talk to you or others but most of you seem to have something other than talk on your minds. And 250 people would be easy to round up to support voting for someone who represents democratic ideals and ideas.
"250 people would be easy to round up to support voting for someone who represents democratic ideals and ideas."
Yeah, but we're talking PUMA here, not Democrats.
