Michael Showalter was an original member of MTV sketch group The State. He co-wrote and co-starred in Wet Hot American Summer. Recently wrote/directed and starred in IFC Films' The Baxter and Comedy Central series Stella. He is currently developing a TV show for Comedy Central, has a comedy album out called Sandwiches & Cats and is working on a book.
