Michael Shtender-Auerbach is CEO and founder of Social Risks LLC, a
firm dedicated to sustainable business solutions in a globalized
world, helping corporate and civic leaders to understand better their
operating environment by providing social, human rights, and
environmental risk assessment, mitigation and monitoring services.
Prior to Social Risks, Michael worked for both The Century Foundation
and the Center for American Progress. Michael has consulted on Middle
East policy, national security, economic development, the rule of law,
ethical procurement, environmental policy, responsible investing, and
foreign commercial policy. His work has been published in the
International Herald Tribune, Financial Times, Mother Jones, Tom
Paine, The Jewish Daily Forward, San Francisco Chronicle, and the Los
Angeles Times.

Michael holds a Masters Degree in International Relations from
Columbia University and has studied at Cyprus College, Hebrew
University, and the New School for Social Research.
