Sarah Palin Is Winning

I have said this before: There are only two political stars in the country. One is president, the other is Sarah Palin. They are both sui generis and cultish. They both have less to do with ideology and more to do with who they are. In both cases their careers did not lead them to run for president; rather, their careers took off because they seemed suddenly marketable enough to be president.

And yet Sarah Palin has been dismissed by almost every reputable political news source. Even Fox News seems skeptical when it comes to Palin. The exception is Politico, which, nearly on a daily basis, charts the creation of the Palin marketing effort and the shaping of the Palin brand.

In a piece today, Politico finds Palin, in a survey of regional Republicans, to be the singular personality within the party. According to Politico: "Most Republican Party leaders would jump at the chance to have her headline one of their events."

As I've said in the past, Sarah Palin will never again be elected to ANY political office let alone the Oval office. Her big win was the book deal and speeches to the neo-con conferences. But, you gotta love...you betcha!

To equate Obama and Palin is to reduce the former to homunculus stature so as to make a dubious comparison with she who has become by this exercise swollen to an unrecognizable bloat of significance.
Telegenic candidates do well on election day, especially in our present era, when distinctions in priority and policy between parties are mooted by the financial underpinning the overclass gives to each. But there remains quite a difference between the personalities compared here, to underscore which I paraphrase once again the dependable Mark Twain line-- Obama is to Palin as 'lightning' is to 'lightning bug.'

One may despise neocon Republicans, feel nauseated looking at John McCain, have utter comtempt for Fox news, yet be charmed and enchanted by Sarah Palin. Strange, but true. She reaches into "the deep heart's core", among ordinary citizens who feel they know her.

Only superficial, shallow, not to bright people are enchanted by Sarah Palin. Anyone who goes beyond her square face quickly learn how much she doesn't know, how narcissistic she is, and how in general she really is a nobody who wants more than anything to be a somebody on a national stage. It'll never happen Sarah. Never.

She's definitely in the running -- for the Fraud of the Century. It will take quite some doing to top her pretend pregnancy which has been outed by none other than Faux news footage filmed on April 8, 2008 and shows her hands clasped across a flat belly, while only five days later her hands are clasped across an enormous 'baby bump'. She's a Win-Win proposition for the Democrats. As long as she sucks all the oxygen out of the dying Republican party, the Democrats only look better for 2010 and 2012.
