Micheal McElveen was born in Los Angeles, California on January 30, 1991. In June 2009, he graduated from Alain Leroy Locke high school in Watts, California. As a high school student, Micheal earned Varsity letters in Basketball. During his last year, Locke High school was transformed to a public charter managed by Green Dot Public Schools. This transformation afforded many opportunities, one of which was allowing Micheal to become a founding creator of The Saint City Times, Locke’s seminal school newspaper. As a co-editor and a reporter, Michael published 11 articles while also helping to supervise student writers for the monthly publications. Michael continues to chase his dreams of becoming a VP of Basketball Operations as a sophomore at American University in Washington, D.C. He currently attends the School of Communication and is pursuing a major in Public Communications and a minor in Marketing. He is also a contributing sports writer for AU's newspaper, The Eagle.
