Democrats 2008: Rome is Burning

Democrats, the presidential race of 2008 is ours to lose. We are doing a great job of losing the ball game with arrogance, bickering, and sanctimonious sermons. Rome is burning and all you guys can do is argue among one another. Governor Richardson can not be the diplomat that keeps the banter civil, so you are all letting it rip! What is wrong with you?

The economy is quickly going down the toilet. Unemployment is rising. The markets are tipping downward as our debt rises. We are still in Iraq and our current administration continues to play the heart strings of terrorism. There is no federal policy to fight global warming, and we are still relying upon fossil fuel. The lack of universal health care is a rapidly becoming an issue of national security.

There is so much work to be done and so many bright people. Why are we not getting to the issues? The reality is that we have three candidates left in the race. Deals are being cut daily for delegates, union support and dollars instead of listening to the American people. Truly, if the people are not heard - the race will be handed to the Republicans.

Are we getting what we deserve? How sad it is to lay these words at our feet. The reality is that if we don't get it right we will hand this election to the other team. And frankly, can we tolerate another eight years?
