Observations from the political front: Hillary Rodman Clinton was very impressive when she came through northern California last weekend and wowed audiences from San Francisco to Silicon Valley. She upped the stakes significantly even with the "ATM machine" Democrats of California.

She has become a Presidential candidate deeply at ease in her own skin. She has risen above the politics of personality. Her focus on the issues is razor sharp.

She was on message and spoke from not only her formidable mind, but also from her heart. In her stump speech, she conjured up the images of hope and talked of growing up with middle class with parochial values. Her responses were poignant and on target.

Her talks covered the span of issues concerning all Americans from health care to the Iraq War to civil rights. She articulated a voice of reason and shrewdness by sidestepping the pitfall of defending her vote on the Iraq War.

Substance abounds, inspiration is present and solid pragmatism appears to be a winning solution.

Consider her plan for "real" nationwide health care without pre-existing conditions.

Consider her words on the need for a post Kyoto PAC led by the United States of America.

Consider her shrewd understanding of "swift boating" for all and any formidable Democratic candidate for President.

Consider her words of wisdom on diplomacy and our need for roving Ambassadors to re-establish US worldwide relations.

Hillary Clinton firmly believes that we have hope and can reclaim our position of world leadership. Indeed, she has found her rhythm. She is a unique mix of leadership, vision, inspiration and pragmatism.
