I actually kind of admire the mom with the mohawk kid. I like a mom who says, "Mohawk in the JCPenney family picture? You bet!"
I'll bet when that boy grew up and brought his dates home in his 20's and 30's, she got a lot of joy out of showing off that picture.

How could they miss photos of the pleather pants, the parachute pants, the Michael Jackson jackets, the Madonna rubber wristbands (and other stylings), the Flashdance off-the-shoulder tank-tops, and all the Prince lace? Good times!

Some of these hair do's look familiar. I remember the smell of aqua net and boom boxes blasting as we tried to get our hair in all kinds of shapes and sizes!

These pictures are from the 1980s?? That's odd, because I see the "Bowlett" (pic 5) and "Stonewashed" (pic 8) looks all the time when I'm driving through Kentucky.

The Futurama photo was definitely not 80's. The Kanye shades were popular in the 2000's and the other shades look too current. Never saw them in the 80's, and I would know because I fell victim to every 80's trend that existed.

Actually it was the 80s because I owned those sunglasses in the eighties. Mine were white and I thought they were pretty slick when I was 6. In fact, I got them as a prize at Showbiz Pizza.

The 80's style was absolutely horrible. I'll admit I probably helped destoy the earth with all the Aqua Net hairspray I used back in the 80's. My hair is finally recovering from all the damage I caused back then. I hope teased hair never makes a comeback.
