Matt Hires' 'Signal in The Sky' Debuts on Grey's Anatomy

For about two years, I was hoping that Matt Hires' album Take Us To The Start was going to follow a similar trajectory as John Mayer's Room For Squares, steadily building a story then finally breaking after good word of mouth, reviews and critics' endorsements.

Matt Hires "Signal In The Sky"

For about two years, I was hoping that Matt Hires' album Take Us To The Start was going to follow a similar trajectory as John Mayer's Room For Squares, steadily building a story then finally breaking after good word of mouth, reviews and critics' endorsements. Didn't happen. But that doesn't negate the album's high quality of songwriting, insistent vocals and youthful energy, and it's definitely worth a look, especially by those who follow the best of the singer-songwriter genre.

So guess which artist's music appeared on last night's episode of Grey's Anatomy? Uh-huh, that would be Matt Hires. Take a sec and check out the new recording, "Signal In The Sky," a song that will be featured on the Floridian's next album, which is due out soon.
