Born in Vienna, Austria, it seems that I have designed fashion all my life. I remember myself as a teenager with a flashlight under my blanket frantically sewing my new outfit for the next day. I moved to California
in the late ‘80s and have designed directional collections for Monah Li Inc., bebe, Sharagano and Monahmour.

Now, as a woman over 40, I am more interested in sharing my experience and awareness of how to dress, more than designing itself.

Illusions

Are we just a computer game of a powerful evil entity? This is very likely, said the NY-Times Science section a few weeks ago. Or as one of the comments to my last post said, "As the Buddha would say...this is delusion, pure and simple."

It's the name that makes me squirm: Baby-doll. Smock? Infantilism? As much as I don't want to shave my crotch and look like a nine-year-old from the waist down, I don't want to dress myself in a top that balloons on top of my...

Posted July 7, 2007 | 01:04 AM (EST)

How I dress affects the conversations I have. A black, tight, severely cut dress makes me feel grown-up and confidant. It enables me to access the part of myself that is a demanding and sexually experienced woman. I become conscious of how I move and how my posture has to...
