Mort Gerberg is a cartoonist and author best known for his magazine cartoons, which have appeared regularly in numerous publications such as The New Yorker, Playboy, Harvard Business Review and Publishers Weekly. He has drawn several nationally-syndicated newspaper comic strips and has written and/or illustrated or edited 40 books for adults and children.

He has just completed editing an original hardcover cartoon collection entitled, Last Laughs: Cartoons About Aging, Retirement… and The Great Beyond, that will be published by Scribner in October, 2007. It is composed of 131 literary cartoons created by 26 cartoonists from The New Yorker.

His Cartooning: The Art and the Business has been the leading instructional/reference work in the field for almost 25 years. Among his other popular books are Joy in Mudville: The Big Book of Baseball Humor, and, for children, Geographunny, and the best-selling (two million copies) More Spaghetti, I Say. For clients in the business world (e.g. John Hancock, Fidelity, Motorola, Brooks Brothers), he has created cartoons for advertising and public relations and made personal appearances.

Mr. Gerberg lives in New York City.
