Lindsay Mure: My Grandma Cindy

On April 3rd, 2007 my Grandma Cindy passed away. Her death signified the end of a horrific 6 years for my mother. Year-after-year since 2001 my mother has experienced great loss and pain - death, divorce, surgery, alcoholic loved ones, a child moving abroad, etc. My mom turned 50 the day after her mother died, and we never had the chance to celebrate. So in 2 weeks I am taking my mom to Ireland to visit my sister and celebrate mother/daughterhood. Throughout all of my mother's trials she kept her head above the murky waters, and proved to me what a truly strong and courageous woman is! I miss you Grandma - your vibrancy and love will live within all of our hearts this Mother's Day and always!
