The thrill of showbiz may be an escape, but is often overshadowed by the pedestals on which celebrities are raised, coupled with mounting pressures on women (and men) to conform to a certain cookie-cutter mould.

The formula is child's play really, say something audacious to revel in sensationalism, get on the telly box, become infamous regardless of the acerbic venom being spat out.

Agreeing with an advert that seduces you into buying a product you don't need is a rather rare feat, now that marketing and Photoshopping have created an unachievable fairy tale forever out of reach.
