Miley Cyrus 101

Parents of college students have long weighed in on their kids' academic choices. And every year universities expand their course catalogues to include classes that leave kids intrigued and parents shaking their heads.

Instead of obsessing over how students might benefit from a semester of studying The Jersey Shore, I've designed my own course filled with learning opportunities and important messages for college students. Given the lesson plan, I think parents will approve.

Course Title: The Mistakes of Miley Cyrus

Course Description: This course will review the life and poor choices of Miley Cyrus. From bad father-daughter photo shoots to questionable extracurricular activities and snap-happy friends, this class will cover Miley's 19-year journey from role model to tabloid teen.

Specific lectures will include:
1. The legal implications of illegal substances and paraphernalia
2. Why joking around in photos isn't always a good idea
3. Facebook profile management that will keep you on the Disney payroll
4. How to choose friends who won't rat you out to the paparazzi
5. Proper birthday cake selection*

*This lecture includes a special field trip to Hoboken, New Jersey to meet with The Cake Boss, who will discuss wonderful G-rated confectionary choices.

Course Objectives: At the end of this class, students will have a better understanding of the dangers of pairing photography and partying, the importance of selecting a solid support network, and the implications of bad choices on job security.

Required Textbooks: In lieu of textbooks, the syllabus will include links to TMZ and old episodes of Hannah Montana.

The light reading requirement and field trip are sure to make this course a popular one.

The reality of this situation simply rests in the choices made by B.R.Cyrus and Miley Cyrus-ofcourse Hollywood is not to be left out as a major influence! still-taken from the old karate kid movie......"problem with teacher........teacher say...student do"......i pray that they both realize the role model miley can still be to so many that look up to her........................before it is too late..................
