A handful of years ago, Nancy Clark, a veteran of the publishing industry, took note of the numbers—in the United States alone, there are nearly 80 million post-WWII Baby Boomers born between 1945 and 1964. This was an underserved niche market that deserved more than an association retirement magazine. www.WatchBoom.com was founded. Compelling lifestyle features, particularly travel was a natural fit for this former editor of both Frontier Airlines' in-flight magazine Wild Blue Yonder and Western Pacific Airlines in-flight mag. Other former gigs include roles as publisher of Executive Denver magazine and editor of Denver magazine (plus myriad others). At some point you put down all the awards you’ve won and do what you do best and love most. The travel section of www.WatchBoom.com is aptly named “Getting Warmer.” Sunscreen is optional.
