I am Nancy Davis, born and raised in the "Windy City" of Chicago, Illinois, My background is in Arts-Fashion and I am fortunate to find myself still fully immersed in this wonderful passion of mine. I also am delighted to be the mother of four amazing pound kittens. They are all now 12 yrs old and respond to the names of Felix, Oliver, Sassy and Russell Davis. We are a great team and I need a team, you see I am living with Stage IV Breast Cancer.

Stage IV means the disease has metastasized to another part of the body outside its primary invasion point. In my case it is the bones. There is no cure for Stage IV and I have been and will be in treatment non stop, until I finally succumb. Statistics give 2-5 years at best.

My heart, soul and mind however, live in another place now. A place I have named "Metsville". A place where I have a new family of sisters and brothers all with one common denominator. We all have Stage IV Breast cancer and we interface with one another in cyberspace.

With this great opportunity, I shall send a message about Stage IV to those whom I hope will read and become enlightened.

(26) Comments | Posted February 24, 2011 | 4:15 PM

I absolutely loathe anyone using the term "living with Stage IV breast cancer." I ask: Are you really living? Is your life still the same as it was before the cancer? Do folks around you treat you differently?

First and foremost, I am not living with the...

Farewell, Ms. Elizabeth

Unfortunately...Elizabeth Edwards will most likely be honored more in death than in life. We are solemnly saddened, and also disappointed in perhaps thinking she could pull off a miracle for all of us with Stage IV Breast Cancer.

Many Stage IVs had followed her story from day...

Held Hostage by Stage IV Breast Cancer

Last week, I had my regular oncologist visit. This usually consists of a quick physical, vitals, blood work and an infusion, a 40 minute drip to help strengthen diseased bones. I had been cut back on the drug as it has some mighty side effects and being on it five...
